Default Best game of all time?

I would say the best game of all time is probably Super Mario Bros.

But now alot of good games are out such as COD4 and GTA IV.

What do you think is the best game of all time?

Super Mario Bros was a great game and one which I have a soft spot for cos I played it so much (since it came bundled with the nes it was one of the few games I had for a while) however I think it's far from the best game of all time, heck, it isn't even the best game in the series (Super mario bros 3 for example was much better).

I think it's difficult to pick just one game for this question. Also, I think that everyones answer will be different depending on the age they are, the systems they owned and the types of games they like.

Mmmm, if I had to pick I'd say Street Fighter 2 Turbo but ask me next me and you might get a different answer

I love Super Mario! My favourite game is probably hmm either this amazing farming kind of game I played when I was younger called Harvest Moon or the Sims I never get bored of!

Harvest Moon was on the snes. My mate was a big fan of it though chrono trigger is probably on par if not better.

Oh! that's a hard question! All the Mario games from the NES and the SNES. including Mario 2 (not the lost levels, the one where you pull the things from the ground!). Mario kart on the SNES. Battlefield 2 on the pc, Tekken tag on the ps2, Zelda 3 - links awakening on the black and green gameboy! Zelda 64 ocarina of time on the N64, Hitman:contracts on the PC.
im going to stop now, cos I could be here for a while!
I have so many best games of all time! each has its own good points - like goldeneye for the N64!
lol. I'm going to stop now. =)

GTA 3 is in my opinion the greatest game of all time. It is a game that totally changed gaming and spawned a whole genre of games in the same ilk.

    some great games mentioned there

yeah mario 2 was great. Think it was called Mario USA in Japan. It wasn't a real mario though it was great *they simply rebranded Doki Doki Panic).

mario kart on the snes - fantastic. One of my favourite games growing up.

battlefield 2 - Still have the game but rarely play it. It plays great on my laptop but when I originally got it a year or 2 before that, I had loads of problems with it. I could play single player ok but when I tried to go online it crashed. Can't remember what the reason was but it happened to thousands upon thousands of people (i think it was a conflict of hardware/software). I was a bit pissed off too as I paid £30+ for the game at the time. The EA boards were full of gamers saying they'd boycott them and never buy from them again.

So basically, I bought BF2 at release date cos I loved BF1942 but couldnt play it because of the online problem and when I got a laptop that could play it no problem I didnt take the time to get into it again.

Tekken tag on the ps2 - Got that too. Good game.

Zelda 3 - Dont think ive played that one

Zelda 64 ocarina of time on the N64 - Played it, completed it, loved it

Hitman:contracts on the PC - Never played it

goldeneye for the N64! - Yeah, probably the best game I had for the 64...at the very least the most played. When I bought the N64 I bought 4 controllers right from the start (well 3 if you exclude the one which came with it). That was the 1st first person shooter I got into.

Hard question indeed, but..........I'm a hardcore Sonic fan , so I'm going to have to say, Sonic 2. However there are some really great games now, which I could play all the time , but, Sonic 2, has something over me and wins hands down!

Sonic 2 was actually a decent game. The 2 player game worked pretty well. There's certainly been a lot poorer sonics since then
