    Default USB 3.0 Details released

The USB 3.0 speeds have been officially confirmed.

Ten times faster than the old USB spec, USB 3.0 can transfer a 27GB file in just 70 seconds. Plus, with more "lanes" of data within the connector, new USB will be able to simultaneously send and receive information—that might not sound like much, but the old USB couldn't do so.
Damn thats fast. You could fill an ipod in just a few minutes!

I have NEVER seen a technology like USB3 STALL OUT in the marketplace. Intel and Apple have almost conspired to DELAY delivering USB 3.0 SuperSpeed ports on their logic boards and computers. USB 3 is gaining ground, s - l - o - w - l - y, but it's unreal how these 2 big players would much rather you wait for LightPeak so they can collect more PER-PORT ROYALTIES from their L.Peak licensing agreements... What a racket huh?
