Thread: Largest USB thumb drive you have?

  1. #1

Default Largest USB thumb drive you have?

My largest is 8GB and I have several 1-2GB drives.

I also have an external harddrive but it's not as portable..I believe it has 200+ GB or something close to it. What amazes me is how cheap those thumb drives are becoming, when they first came out it was like $40 for a 1GB, now for that much you can get at least 4GB+ sometimes even more.

I've only got a 2gb drive...which was the most you could get when I bought it. Don't really use it much though as I have a portable 2.5" which holds 250gb so I use that if I'm transferring files between laptops or whatever.

Thumb drives are dirt cheap now.

The next thing I need is a terrabyte hard drive. My 320gb maxtor drive failed so I'm just using a 3.5" 250gb drive in an enclosure.

Yeah 2GB is enough in most cases, especially if you just haul around documents and whatnot.

I often load up some larger files though like game installers and videos so I needed a larger drive.

I have a few 1gb drives - I find that I dont need more - I only use them for documents - I have a 60gb Creative Zen mp3 player that you can use as a removable harddrive, whic I use if i need more space, I also have 8gb on my phone, and a 500gb and a 320gb harddrive inside my machine - I'm never short of space =)
