Rock Band 2 track list
I came across the track list for Rock Band 2 (via Joystiq). This list is from the North American version of the game so the UK track list should be different. It should retain many of these songs but should have a bigger British influence with bands like Oasis etc.
Either way, it’s looking good. [...]
Just upgraded the hard drive on my PS3
Recently I’ve found that I contantly need to delete demos and trailers I’ve downloaded because of a lack of memory so this week I took the plunge and ordered a new hard drive. I got a 320gb 5400RPM Sata drive from Ebuyer, an absolute steal at £56.
I wouldn’t recommend buying a more expensive 7200RPM drive. [...]
Multiple Play Station Network Accounts
When I got the PS3 last year I set up a PlayStationNetwork (PSN) account with my own UK address and also an account with a USA address. This allowed me to view games from the UK Playstation store and the USA one too.
2 nights ago I decided to set up accounts for Hong Kong, [...]
360 rhythm-game instruments will be compatible too
On Monday I spoke about Sonys announcement that all music accessories will be compatible with each other in the future. Well it seems like MicroSoft will be following their lead.
From GameSpot
Microsoft officially confirmed today that peripherals for upcoming Xbox 360 rhythm games from Activision Blizzard, MTV Games, and Konami would enjoy similar support. “All the [...]
Would you like a Wallet Phone?
CNN posted a news story today about Japans push for their mobile technology to be used more abroad. One of the most popular phones is apparently the Wallet Phone, an ingenius device which brings together the two most common things guys stick into their jeans pockets.
I’m not sure if this would prove popular in the [...]
PS3 Music Peripherals will be universally compatible
Sony today reported that peripherals for Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero 4 will be compatible. This is really good news as whereas the GH3 controller works with Rock Band on the 360, PS3 owners are not so lucky.
For the past several months, we have been working closely with Neversoft and Activision, Harmonix and Konami [...]
Street Fighter Alpha coming to PSN
PS3 FanBot has reported that Street Figher Alpha (SFZero) will be released this Thursday in the PSN for $5.99.
This PS1 game should go down well and when released in the UK should hopefully retail at the £3.50 mark. However, as usual there is no clear indication when it will be released and going from [...]
BioShock PS3 Trailer
The PS3 is getting critically acclaimed BioShock this October, more than a year after it was released on the 360. Apparently the graphics haven’t been improved but there are some extras like ‘Survivor Mode’.
Here’s the trailer to give you an idea of what this first person shooter is all about
Some price drops on good games
There has been a few price drops in the last week or so on some great games.
First up is Grand Theft Auto IV. Soft UK currently have this on sale for £25.99.
Next is Guitar Hero 3, which has finally seen a price drop from the £60+ range. HMV and Amazon currently have the Guitar [...]
Rumour : Xbox to get price cut in the USA next month
According to an insider via ArsTechnica, the price of the Xbox 360 will be reduced in the USA in September. Traditionally, price cuts in the USA are usually followed by cuts in the UK a few months later so hopefully these price cuts are true and hopefully they will be done in time for Christmas.
Here’s [...]
