Rock Band 2 out in a few months

Having wasted half a dozen hours at my friends house at the weekend drinking and playing Rock Band on the Xbox 360, I was surprised to read that the sequal Rock Band 2 is due out in the USA in just a few months. Kotaku reports that RB2 will be out in the 360 in September, the PS3 in October and finally the Wii in November.

No UK release date has been confirmed as yet but considering that the first Rock Band has only just been released here and has still not been released on the PS3, it’s safe to say that it won’t reach British shores for some time. Activision’s Guitar Hero 4 : World Tour features drums and a microphone too and will no doubt go head to head with Rock Band 2 in the charts.

If you have a PS3 it might be worth picking up Guitar Hero 3 in the mean time. Prices are coming down for the game, on ebay and in shops, and the wireless guitar will work with Rock Band and Guitar Hero 4 - which means you’ll have a bass guitar ready when you do get Rock Band or GH4.
