Call of Duty 4 is #1 Again

Despite tough competition from the obligatory UK Christmas superstar, the FIFA franchise, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has managed to climb to the top of the UK sales charts once again. Part of the game is played from the perspective of a British Special Air Serviceman. Maybe that’s why it’s so popular? I’ve never played the game, but the simple fact that you get to play as a dude named “Soap McTavish” is nearly enough to win me over.
This installment of Call of Duty finds the player fighting both the Russians and a non-descript (how convenient!) Middle Eastern country. Featuring an array of modern-day weaponry and a wide range of gameplay scenarios, from high-intensity firefights to simmering, suspenseful hostage situations, this fourth installment is the most successful game the franchise has yet seen.
