How do you feel about piracy in gaming? Do you have copies/iso's of games or do you prefer to buy all of your games and support the game companies?

Personally, I have used copies/iso's but, I dont use them much. I only ever use them as demo's for the game (for games where no demo is released) and if I like it I buy it.

Piracy arguably damages the gaming industry and we may be getting poorer games being released because of it. What do you think?

I have used pirate versions of games before, but i tend to find that they crash a lot, i dont buy many games, but the ones that I do buy I tend to play for years (all the mario games, battlefield 2, etc) so I do get my moneys worth out of them, one thing that I have noticed is that games cost a ridiculous amount of money!

I have done. Mainly used for trying games out first and such. Many games I would never have bought if I hadn't had the iso of the game. And when I didn't quite a few game purchases were a complete waste of money .

And games do cost quite a considerable amount, so it's no wonder that many people pirate their games.

Ah, the time honoured "games are too expensive, its fine to have a parrot on me shoulder and a peg leg" excuse for piracy eh? :D

Got to agree to a point but, games arent a fraction of the price they used to be so now whats the excuse? ;)
