Xbox 360 to come down in price in Europe on 19th September 2008

Xbox 360 fanboy (http://www.xbox360fanboy.com/2008/09/16/ms-confirms-new-wave-of-euro-xbox-360-price-cuts-129-179-arca/) have confirmed that the 360 will be reduced across europe this Friday. This follows on from the recent price drop in the states (http://www.electricbandits.com/showthread.php?t=28).

Xbox 360 Arcades : £129 (€179), previously £159 (€199)
60GB Pros : £169 (€239), previously £199 (€269)
120GB Elites : £229 (€299), previously £259 (€369)

This is really going to give the PS3 a run for it's money. Xbox sales were troucning the playstation this time last year but around christmas the tables turned and the PS3 has been outselling the 360 since. At this price I would suspect that more 360's than PS3's will be sold this christmas. I'd personally recommend anyone buying a new system to go for a 360 at these prices, and thats coming from someone with a ps3 :)

£129 for a 360! Thats about the same price my parents paid for a nintendo nes around 1989/1990!!

Also the same price as a PSP and the 360 has soooo much more to offer than the PSP :eek: It's insane.
Only £30 more than a DS too. P3 will be the last to be "sold out" at Christmas lol :p.

It's an awesome price :D. In one way makes me wish I'd waited a bit longer to get one, but at the same time, I've had the use out of it and I wouldn't give that back :D. Lots of fun had on it :).

I hope Microsoft can accomodate the price cut come Christmas though.

Yup, same price as the PSP.

So if you have £130 and want something nice from Game ;). £130 will buy you a PSP Slim & Lite with Ben 10/Sims 2 Pets/Lord of the rings tactics, or a 360 with star wars force unleashed/tiger woods 09 :eek: I know what my choice would be. I know what my bro will be getting for xmas as well, it's within what he's allowed :rolleyes:.

hmmm, at that price i'd be tempted to get a 360, but I'd still rather have a Wii =)
all the games I can play on a 360 I can also play on my pc =)

I've had 2 wii's and sold them both. Still got my 360 ;).
I would like to say a game that is just on the 360, but I can't think of one right now. There has to be one though, doesn't there?
