I had used AVG Free on my computers for years and never had any problems. Unfortunately, they recently changed it to a premium script i.e. you need to get your wallet out!
I'm not a big fan of paying for something when there is a good alternative for free.
So I went on the hunt for a good alternative. And the one most people are recommending is Free Avira (http://www.free-av.com/).
If you were a AVG Free user like myself then you you should check it out. Just remember to uninstall any other anti virus program before you install this one because anti virus programs always crash.
If you know of a better alternative please let me know :)
