As you know, I own the HP 2133 netbook. I originally had the Eee 701 PC from Asus but the keyboard was very poor so I upgraded to the HP 2133, which has a great keyboard.

I'm using the 2133 just now. It's a good little machine but it is a little slow because of its via c7 processor (and vista) and video playback is extremely poor. So in the next few months I may pass on my 2133 to someone in my family and get a new netbook. Something a bit more powerful but something which is still compact enough for travelling etc.

Therefore, I am paying a lot of attention to the latest netbooks being released. The 2133 is getting an upgrade this year too, namely, the Mini 2140. It now boasts a 1.6GHz Atom processor.

It's been getting some favourable reviews (http://jkontherun.com/2009/02/07/thoughts-from-the-road-hp-mini-2140-rocks/) already though I also like the look of HP's other netbook, the HP 1000 (http://www.umpcportal.com/2009/02/hp-mini-1000-mie-unboxing-and-first-thoughts).

I'm in Bangkok next month so I'm going to check all the new netbooks out at the IT shopping mall, particularly the Sony P500 (http://www.electricbandits.com/showthread.php?t=323).

What netbook are you interested in getting this year?
