This phone was a great concept for those like me who love video games, however they didn't execute it right. The NGage was pretty much a failure, and nowadays hardly anyone has one. I'm sure if you do manage to get one, it should work though.

The game selection was alright, but I heard that the phone features themselves were not too good and that's one of the reasons why it did poorly. I hope they give it another try and release something better, at an affordable price.

I had the 6200 - it was the same as the ngage, but looked more like a phone, and less like a sega gamegear! it played all the ngage games, It ran symbian os, so the snes emulators worked on it, the only problem was the battery - it only lasted one day - if you forgot to charge it it died by the next morning !

I was never a big fan. I love gaming but I still want my phone to be a good phone and these phones were pretty basic, albeit they could run games.

As you say, the battery life is a problem too. I'd much prefer to carry a gameboy micro around in addition to my phone than get an ngage.

Battery life is definitely a big issue as if you forget to charge it and it runs out, it's pretty much useless for that time.

As for gaming on the go, yeah I bring my DS when I plan on playing a game while waiting for something etc. along with my phone although some phone games are pretty decent. Tetris is a must have.
