When it first came out, it was all the rage, now it's facing some tough competition.

I personally am not surprised as I knew others would step into the game, and while I'll admit that Apple did a good job bringing in these new innovative devices, they tend to overprice their stuff, especially accessories. Thus I avoided buying their phone..

Anyone here have one, or would like to add to my "rant"?

I do think it's overpriced but theres no denying it's a great little device.

It isn't the ultimate phone that apple make it out to be, far from it. It is severely lacking a lot of features.

But again, it's a good phone, you can't argue with that. It depends what you're looking for though.

yeah, the iphone is very expensive - but so are all apple products - saying that I'd probably rather have an HTC touch than an Ipone, and they are similarly priced, just that the htc has better compatibility with the kind of things I use (outlook and all the microsoft stuff)

It is a nice phone but it's definitely not the best in the market anymore therefore they really need to lower their prices if they want to sell it.

Another thing that sucks is that you need to use Cingular, if you don't, then you have to get an unlocked phone.
