A few weeks ago I downloaded mega man 9 and Wipeout HD for the PS3. Both are good games but less than a week later I was kind of bored with them and started playing Call of Duty 4 again.

The next month I'll definately be playing the PS3 more.

I couldn't resist the play.com sale and got :

tiger woods 08 for £11.99
Assasins Creed for £9.99
NBA Live 08 for £14.99

I played Tiger 09 last week at my friends for a few hours and enjoyed it. I would have preferred 09 so that I could play him online but with 08 costing just under £12 I just couldn't justify it. I ordered at the start of the week so all 3 games should be delivered in the next day or so.

November is a big month for gaming though. I've preordered Call of Duty 5 (released 14th November) and Socom Navy Seals (released 28th November). I'm getting Socom because you get the PS3 official bluetooth headset (http://www.electricbandits.com/showthread.php?t=21&highlight=Socom). the headet costs £17.99 but Socom with the headset only costs £29.99, not too bad considering the game is supposed to be really good.

Little Big Planet is out at the start of November too, a game which I'm keen on but that has to wait. I'll probably pick that up when it's cheaper.

I suspect that all of these games will be dropped when COD5 comes out as several of my friends play COD 4 online on a regular basis and have all preordered it as well.

Reason I'm buying so many games

I do like playing games but I usually don't buy this many at the one time. However there is a reason for this. The cost of all 5 games is less than £100, which isn't too bad, and all are pretty good games.

However, these games may actually save me money. In december I'm going to Dublin for 4 days with several of my friends around the 10th, I'm going to Belfast to stay at my brothers and in between I have christmas, 2 30th birthdya parties and numerous other nights out. ie. it's going to be a very expensive month.

So the plan is, try and save some cash in November and stay in a few times.

What games are you looking to buy in the run up to Christmas?

Not sure yet, but right now I'm low on spending cash.

I might have to trade in or sell some of my games to get some of the newer ones. By next month I should be able to afford at least one of the new games I hope.
