View Full Version : Wii reduced to £159
I saw some adverts in the papers today saying that the Wii has been reduced to £159 (with Wii Sports). This is the first time it has been reduced since it was released.
I got my Wii last year during the crazy rush for the machine so it doesn't really concern me, I was just surprised to see that it took so long for them to reduce it, particularly with the 360 arcade becoming so affordable.
It would be good if they followed Sonys lead and released a platinum range of games which were released at the start of the wiis life
Wow, £159. That would explain why GameStation are now selling pre-owned Wiis for £149 instead of £169. I'm actually very tempted to get one. I had one last year but sold it as I didn't play it much and, it was the xmas hype/craze/panic, so sold it for £360 :D. Wouldn't mind having another one though, I have more space to play wii sports now, no chance of injury (well not as much as before in confined spaces).
I got one last December but to be honest, I've hardly played it. The last game I bought for it was mario kart but other than that I haven't played it for months.
The wii is still outselling the ps3 and 360 by a wide margin though so other people are clearly still buying games for it.

I've owned 2 Wii's and sold them both. There are mosre titles available now that Id like to try but, thats the problem for me - Id like to try them, I don't think Id play them after I tried them out, thats what happened twice before :o. The price is very, very tempting but, I'd rather buy a PS3 if I had the money and even then I'd still rather just play my 360 :D.

I got a Wii about 2 years a go and they cost £179.99 in 2 years they have only gone down £20 this shows that nintendo are selling lots of conseles. Also in those 2 years I haven't really been on it that often but I have a PS3 so go on that more.
